New site layout

Suggestions and criticisms about the site

New site layout

by London Lad on Tue Mar 03, 2009 4:13 pm

we are currently working on a new site layout, it will be very different to the current site, we intend to add a number of different ways in which you can navigate the site and also hope to add an RSS news feed.

Any other Ideas of what you would like?

will you use a breadcrumb trail navigation?

example:

home > services > legal advice

I understand that is one of the considerations.

Yes we will have a search box, breadcrumbs and a word cloud so it should be very easy to find things.

We are now starting to add content, so I'll send you the URL when we have more content on the new site so you can give us your feed back

Yes all the content from the old site will be on the new site plus much more, we have lots of stuff to add to the new site and it should be very easy to get around.

The "what's on page" will be changed, we will be using Google calendar and people will be able to customise it to meet their needs, you can set the calendar to show only things you are interested in, so instead of having to look through all the subjects to find what you are looking for you will be able to just look a what interests you; For example, if you want live music and concerts but not cinema you can click the boxes for live music and concerts and that's all you will see.

We hope to be in a position towards the end of May to send the site URL to people so they can look around and give us feed back before we go live, if anyone is interested in doing that just let us know by leaving a message on this thread.
