From the information you have supplied I think your options are limited, the main one being via an investment visa, (see visa section of the site under general Information). Or you can always stay here with a tourist visa for 90 days and apply for an extension for a further 90 days.

Have you considered checking your family history to see if anyone has a connection to Brazil, it is very common for Brazilians to get a European passport via a relative that came here from Europe and I'm sure the system works both ways; I believe it goes back 2 generation but that is something you should checkout yourself.

If you have any other questions please ask and let us know how you get on.

I see from your other posts that you are thinking of buying land here; depending on how much you invest you may be eligible for an investment visa, that is currently $50,000 and with the $ being so low against the R$ now would be a good time to invest, take a look at the visa section in the main site under general information.

I'm here on an investment visa I invested in land and property and I'm also thinking about starting a business, I have a few ideas but I'm finding it hard to understand the way things work here.

This morning I was at half conference in my town in Italy about business in Brazil, it look to not be so much simple, especially commerce, import and export
About live in Brazil without marriage, this is possible if one person do a one personal company of at least 50.000usd
or also if one stranger work for a company, only after that they show that there are not other people that can do this work, but this is possible only for 2+2 years
or another way is to build a company of 200.000usd giving work to 10 people for at least 2 years

I think the R$200,000 visa has been overtaken by the R$50,000, that gives you a 5 year visa, as it is very new only about 3 or 4 years old people are still not sure what the rules are for keeping your visa, but from what I am reading, as long as you keep the investment here they will renew your visa, I think the rules will only become clear sometime in 2009.

There has been a lot of talk about this on www.gringoes.com do a search there for investment visa and you'll see loads of stuff.
