Paraíbano’s are moving
to apartments
The
Paraíban is exchanging the privacy of their houses for the comfort and safety of the
vertical condominiums.
The
State has the second highest level of residences located in urban area of the
north eastern region, with 79,2 % of it’s residents residing in the cities.
The
data comes from the National Inquiry for Sample of Residences (Pnad), of 2006,
by the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE).
This
process of verticalisation of the principal cities of the State is beginning to
alter the profile of dwellings in Paraiba.
This
new way of living demands the fulfilment of social rules and new ways of living
with other people as well as the division of finances and services to manage
the condominium.
The
relationship is not easy. It is necessary to adopt a “survival guide”.
To
live in apartment means to open your pockets to lots of additional spending
that you would not have considered for a house.
