Ave Juarez Tavora, 583
Torre 3243 1848
(Point of reference; Runs parallel to the Beira Rio through all the builder merchants).
Have you ever been really pleasantly surprised when you find a little jewel when you least expect it. That’s how it was when we discovered this fine little rustic restaurant one day. Caught out in Barao Mamanguape, Torre looking for stuff, our tummies told us it was time to trough. “Where to go?” as we drove to along Juarez Avenue. The car parkers put us right and we obligingly pulled in and parked up outside as the heavens opened.
The restaurant opens up like a long low wooden barn with rustic ornaments and lamps dotted all over. Fans gently move the air around and there at the end is the buffet table. A wide selection of dishes await your prodding including capoeira chicken. There were some things even my wife hadn’t heard of so I thought I would try some of that. The sweet tray was also very generously stacked. Definitely worth a visit if you are in the area though we have been back a few times since and the quality of food and service has always been consistently high.
