Proxy Wedding

In the event that bride and/or groom are unable to be present for the civil wedding ceremony, it is possible to have a proxy representation for one or both of them during the ceremony. This proxy representation requires a Power of Attorney issued by a Civil Registry granting specific powers to the appointed attorney to receive in the name of the grantor a therein-named person as his/her spouse in the wedding ceremony,

This Power of Attorney can be prepared by any Civil Registry, but must be made exclusively for this specific purpose, and is valid for not more than 90 days.
