The government run postal service in Brazil, overseen by the Brazilian Ministry of Communications (Ministério das Comunicações).

There are over 3,800 post office (Correios) agencies throughout Brazil, employing almost 100,000 workers and distributing 34 million objects per day.

Post Offices are open from Monday to Friday from 09:00-17:00 in general, although Post Offices located in shopping malls have their own opening hours, from 10:00-22:00. There are no set opening hours at the weekend and as Post Office owners are franchisees they can choose when to open and close. Some Post Offices may be open until 13:00 on Saturdays.
