Hard to miss the biggest event of the year for the Circuito Banco do Brasil Vôlei de Praia, taking place now till Sunday on Cabo Branco Beach near the Tamandare monument. Games start at 8h00 and stop for a break early afternoon, starting again at 18h00. Sixty four doubles are taking part, 39 male and 25 female with the finals being played out on Sunday. Entry is free but one kilo of non perishable food for the needy would be appreciated.

Espaço Cultural, Tambauzinho brings together 43 choirs from the states of Alagoas, Brasília, Ceará, Minas Gerais, Paraíba, Pernambuco, Piauí, Rio Grande do Norte e Sergipe all under one roof in Cine Bangue. The event starts at 19h30 Thursday, Friday and Saturday and the programme covers a wide range of music.
Something for all ages with Teatro Ednaldo Egypto presenting two Childrens Spectaculars on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
Teatro Santa Roza provides a Kafkaesque contemporary dance presentation on Friday and Saturday.
